| The rain fell in Burlington in the 12 hour period before the
flow rises on the 27th. One might anticipate the flow to continue to
drop...however rain that fell in the Greensboro area resulted in a second
rise in flow on the 28th. Quite often rain in Burlington results in
very little flow increase in the Burlington area. It is the Guilford
county rainfall that affects the downstream levels. Similarly, rain
in the Alamance County area should produce changes in the Chatam County
levels. If possible check the weather
for the past 24 hours upstream. Checking other river station's data
upstream would be advisable too. |
